Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake

July 2005

On July 1 of each year Rotary Clubs around the world take on a new theme and leadership. It is with great pleasure that we begin the 2005-2006 Rotary year reemphasizing Rotary's basic purpose for existence: Service above Self . This motto has provided the direction and purpose for all Rotarian functions and activities. Many hours will be donated by our members to ensure that we have meaningful projects and fund raisers that will assist others. Included in our major fundraising projects for the coming year will be:

July 4 th Barbecue (July)

July 4 th Fireworks (July)

Oktoberfest (October)

Annual Santa Ski Night (December)

Annual Rotary Golf Tournament (April)

These major fundraising projects will allow us to contribute to the following needs:

Scholarships

Santa Claus Visitation Program

Literacy

International Exchange Programs

Old Miners Day Parade

Environmental Issues

Community Efforts

Truly, serving others in a helpful manner is the ultimate goal for each Rotarian. It is with this dedication and focus that we look to another successful Rotary year.

Sincerely,

Ronald B. Peavy

President
